DECA Tailgate

August 23rd

South Forsyth DECA host a tailgate at the beginning of each school year just before one of our South Forsyth War Eagles’s friday night football games. This event has been an annual tradition for SFHS DECA, and has always been a great way to kick-off the school year. This years DECA tailgate took place on August 23rd and was a huge success! The tailgate was held in the plaza just before the South vs. Sprayberry game and was luau themed. We had bouncy houses and obstacle courses, we catered Jim n’ Nicks, and had a Kona Ice truck show up. Overall we had a great turn out and were proud of our South Forsyth War Eagles for their victory against Sprayberry.

DECA Prom Fashion Show

January 16th

Every year, our Fashion Merchandising and Buying Pathway puts on a DECA Prom Fashion Show in our schools performing arts center. This event is one of our biggest events of the year and is widely known around our community. This years theme was “A Night in DECAWOOD” and was a huge success. With help from our sponsors, Tuxedo Warehouse, Flirt, and Paul Mitchell School of Atlanta, we were able to put on a great show for our school and community. We were also able to raise over $700 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund (JDRF)! Overall it was a great experience for our students and community and we can't wait to do it again next year!
