SOFO Palooza will be held on March 7th this year. This is an event for rising freshman to get to know about all the clubs South Forsyth has to offer.
Upcoming events will be up soon!
We recently held our annual DECA Prom Fashion Show on January 16th and it was a huge success! The Fashion Show took place in our schools performing arts center and was Hollywood themed. With help from our sponsors, Tuxedo Warehouse and Flirt, we were able to put on a great show for our school and community. We were also able to raise over $700 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund (JDRF)! Overall it was a major success and can't wait to do it again next year!
We are South Forsyth DECA, the second largest DECA chapter in the world! Established in 1997, we’ve grown to offer a vast variety of opportunities for our 1300+ members. Our students put their marketing skills to the test by consulting with local businesses, completing internships, engaging in community service projects, and competing against marketing students from around the world.
DECA’s competitive events program directly supports our mission. As an integral part of the classroom curriculum, DECA’s industry-validated competitive events are aligned with the National Curriculum Standards in the career clusters of marketing, business management and administration, finance, and hospitality and tourism. DECA's flagship evaluation process involves students in both a written component such as an exam or report and an interactive component with an industry professional serving as a judge. DECA’s competitive events directly contribute to every student being college and career ready when they graduate from high school. Students compete at the regional, state, and international levels.

A major part of our chapter are our annual community service projects. Georgia DECA’s 2019-2020 Community Service Project is partnered with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). This year, South Forsyth DECA will be holding our second annual “Magical Morning”, along with many other community-service oriented events, where all of the proceeds go to JDRF.
When you think about DECA you most likely think about marketing, competition, and community service, but there is so much more to it than that. Throughout the year we host numerous events such as our annual DECA Tailgate, the DECA Prom Fashion Show, and our monthly DECA Socials. All of which are great ways for our members to get involved with our chapter.
